Veteran's Treatment Court
Media Room
Breakout Session 2 - 11:20 am
Veterans Treatment Court provides a means to remove eligible veteran participants from the traditional criminal justice system and provide them with support and rehabilitation through comprehensive substance abuse and/or mental health treatment, education and vocational programs, and through community resource referrals for housing, childcare and transportation, all while being judicially monitored.

Veterans Treatment Court (VTC) is made up of an extensive collaboration of dedicated partners, including members of the criminal justice system, federal veterans’ agencies and local community veterans’ organizations. The target population includes military veterans who have been charged with non-violent low-level felony or misdemeanor criminal offense(s) and who are identified with substance dependency and/or serious mental health issues.
